Since 1971, Rock & Gem has been the leading magazine for the lapidary and mineral hobbyist. Not a trade journal and not a scientific dissertation, it speaks to the average rockhound, providing just the right blend of entertainment and satisfying information. Armchair hobbyists and diehard diggers alike will find something to enjoy in each issue.

Specific interests of club members include rock and mineral identification, lapidary silversmith, and general geological science. Enjoy the club library and learn about rock collecting, lapidary arts, jewelry making and many other rock and mineral related topics.

The BCLS is a non-profit organization founded to encourage and promote the lapidary hobby in British Columbia. The organization consists of thirty charter member clubs, with a membership of approximately 1,500 people who collect rocks, minerals, crystals and fossils.

As a member of our Club you also become a member of the British Columbia Lapidary Society (BCLS) and the Gem and Mineral Federation of Canada (GMFC). This means you are welcome to join in activities of other clubs.

The purpose of this club is to study, promote an interest in, and disseminate knowledge of Lapidary and various Earth Sciences including but not necessarily limited to geology, palaeontology and mineralogy.

Offers quartz crystals, as well as amethyst cathedrals, fluorite specimens, fossils, and more.
