Wild Horse Picture Jasper 2
A bright green sky above a striped brown landscape, all bright from a hidden sun! Like a view through the mouth of a desert cave. What more could you want from any stone?
Greenly down upon the sand
The broad sky looks, and all the land
Glowers up with bright, brown eyes,
And all that in my vision lies
Is closely trapped in hot, dry air
That burns my skin and fades my hair.
Oh, would that I could see from far
This baleful land, as you do now,
From that remote and distant star,
This desert cave, its crumbling brow.
